Reach Up then Reach Out

Colossians 4:2-6 (NKJV)

2 Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; 3 meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains,4 that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak. 5 Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. 6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

How many times do we miss out on God working through us?  Do we pray at times for God to show us the way, yet in the end we do it our way?  God has a plan and purpose for our lives.  We pray and seek and when given the opportunity we need to follow through with the call in complete trust.

Complete trust means that you are prepared.  We have a loving Father who will never put us in a ministry situation to fail.  The failure we have is not because of Him it is because of us.  When we pray He shows us the way.  When we spend time in the Word He gives us the wisdom and knowledge we need.  When we walk with Him, He guides us to those who we are to reach.

When we cross their paths we are to share in grace the love of Jesus.  There may be questions that come up you do not know how to answer at times.  In these times tell them you will look into it and get back with them.  This leads you back to prayer and in the Word to gain the wisdom and answer to share.  Share your faith with grace and understand and after the ministry opportunity pray with thanksgiving giving God all the praise and glory.
