Proverbs 20:27 (NKJV)
A man’s steps are of the Lord; How then can a man understand his own way?
We have devices that track how many steps we take in a day. They show results to see if you hit a goal or attained a record. The steps tracked may show how much of a physical accomplishment you attained, but there is more to life than how many steps.
Were your steps for the Lord? Some steps were for physical to help you maintain your health and be a good steward of your body. Some steps may have been for work. The work steps can show how you have responsibility and care about your work in providing for your family. Some of the steps may have been in helping a neighbor or friend with jobs they could not do alone or without you.
Each and everyday we need to start in prayer and in Scripture. We need to allow God to show us His direction on the path He has for us that will in turn glorify Him. We need to spend time with Him to see what He has blessed us with, why He blesses us, and how He wants to bless others through us. We can try the journey our way, but we will come up empty and tired. God has a plan for each of our steps and paths are crossed with others for a reason. We miss out on so much when we try to do things in our own strength.
At the end of the day allow Him to show you the journey of the day. Spend time in prayer thanking Him for the day and allow your relationship with Him to grow so you can be in step with Him. Take the time also to call upon Him throughout the day thanking Him for the journey and allowing yourself to see what He desires to show you. Remember each and every step is a blessing and we need to make every step count for His glory.
