Walk in Him

Colossians 2:6-7 (NKJV)

6 As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

When we receive Christ as our Lord and Savior this is the beginning of a new walk in your journey.  Your journey now is not all about you, but Him in you, with you and through you.  The verse shows us “walk in Him” so now we need to adapt.  We now need to put our complete trust in Him by spending time in prayer and growing in wisdom through the Scriptures.

Spending time with Him will have the roots of your faith go deep into His love.  The stronger and deeper your roots go into His love for you, the stronger your faith will grow and show.  Others will see a difference and want to know why your walk is different.  The will see you are fruitful, less fearful, as well as relying on Him instead of self-reliance.

Are there times we will try to do it on our own?  Absolutely, but the results may become your desires and not His desire to love you and bless you.  We need to be taught through His Word, as well as by Christian friends and through our circumstances.  Know when you walk with Jesus, He loves you and you know this by the price He paid for you.

So always be thankful to Him for what He has done, what He is doing in you, as well as what others will see through you.  Remember it is always for His glory!  Thank You Jesus for the price You paid for us!
