Psalm 55:16-18 (NKJV)
16 As for me, I will call upon God, And the Lord shall save me.17 Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice.18 He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, For there were many against me.
Can you make the same statement as in verse 16? Do you call upon Him and allow yourself to be saved? So many times we try attack back at our battles in our own strength and all alone. Call upon Him anytime! Cry aloud letting you pain be heard, your requests be known, and know when you call upon Him you are never alone.
The only way you will be at peace and end the battle is by handing it over to God. Verse 18 says “many” and this could represent multiple battles through many people or one individual over and over. Understand God is there for you listening and waiting for us to call out to Him.
Calling out may seem tough at times. You may think you can handle it independently, yet God wants us to depend upon Him. You may not cry out since you may fear it shows weakness, yet we need His strength. You will never feel either of these excuses if you have a loving prayerful relationship with God. He is a Heavenly Father that is waiting for us to call upon Him. We do need to have a prayer life that we also spend time in His Word as well as time in praise and thanksgiving.
When you spend time with Him then you will never feel you are just calling upon Him in a crisis. You will realize that He loves you and sent Jesus for you. Do you know Jesus as your Savior and Lord? If not just call upon Him asking Him to forgive you of your sins, believing He went to the cross for you, and asking Him to be Lord of your life.
John 14:6 (NKJV) – Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Remember to always give Him all the praise and glory!
