Colossians 1:12-14 (NKJV)
12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
Giving thanks to the Father should be first and foremost in our journey. We need to be thankful for all He has created. Air, oxygen, food, shelter, clothing, all things, and the list could go on and on. He meets all our needs and provides in His perfect timing. God has linked so many things together and we need to stop and appreciate His true attention to details.
The details we see are just the beginning of His love for us. He knew we would make mistakes yet He loves us so. He sent His Son to go to the cross for our sins and we need to be thankful for this sacrifice. Jesus showed us in His walk the importance of prayer and listening to His Father. God has details for each of our lives and we need to spend time with Him. Find time to pray and spend in the Word to truly understand His love.
Draw close to Him to understand the relationship He wants to have with you. His desire is for us all to come to know Him and receive His love. Jesus shows us how much the Father loves us and how much He loves us by going to the cross to forgive us of our sins.
So regardless of the mistakes you have made, know that God is there with open arms waiting with love. He knows all the details of you and there are no surprises. So spend time this Father’s day being thankful for all your Heavenly Father has done. Be thankful for all you learned from your earthly father. If you are a father seek the love and wisdom of our Heavenly Father to show you how to share His love with your children.
God loves us and to Him be all the glory!
