Psalm 37:4-6 (NKJV)
4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.
6 He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice at the noonday.
You delight yourself in the Lord when you walk in His lighted path. When you have the word delight, you rearrange the letters to spell lighted. We are delighted when we spend time with God. Spending time in prayer, seeking answers through His Holy Word and truly seeing the lighted path He has for us. When we truly seek Him He shows us how He has blessed us and all He has done for us and the path He has for us.
He has a plan and a purpose, yet we have to commit to what He shows us. We are to follow, trust, and listen to His direction. We have a tendency to take shortcuts and we in turn miss the complete joy of the journey. When we follow His way we see and do all that He has planned for us. Our ideas can sometimes cause a task to take longer and not be done correctly when we do it our way instead of His way.
Be delighted when you see He has a light on the path He has for you.
