Receive not Achieve

Ephesians 2:8-10 (NKJV)

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

The Words in these passages are so powerful.  Grace…Forgiveness given to us through what Jesus did on the cross for all who believe is amazing.  Think about it He knew every mistake you would ever make and He went to the cross for you.  His mercy and grace are there for you to ask for.  You admit you are a sinner, repent of your sins, ask for His forgiveness by believing in Him and confessing Him as your Lord and Savior.  He loves you that much and He wants you to receive His love and receive Him into your heart.  Our life is not about what you have achieved, but what you have received and that is receiving His love and forgiveness.

We are always a work in progress.  Some believe it is all about works to get to heaven.  We have to know Jesus and accept what He did for us.  When He is your Lord and Savior all that you do for Him will be Him through you for His glory.  To be all we are to become we need to know Jesus and know He has given all gifts to utilize for His glory because we are His workmanship.  Your talent may be in music, teaching, discernment, leadership, praying, mentoring, as well as others areas unique to you for you to apply for His glory.

When you come to know Jesus you become a child of God and He will show you what He has prepared beforehand for you.  So please spend time with Him in prayer, in the Word, and in utilizing your gifts for His glory.  He loves you and wants to share His love through you to reach others so allow Him to prepare you for your journey.
