Gifts from Above

Romans 12:6-8 (NLT)

6  God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out when you have faith that God is speaking through you. 7If your gift is that of serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, do a good job of teaching. 8If your gift is to encourage others, do it! If you have money, share it generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.

God loves us so much and He wants us to share it.  We share His love by sharing what He has blessed us with.  Have you shared His love today?  God gave us His greatest gift of love through His Son Jesus.  When we know and accept Jesus as our Savior we not only have the gift of His love, but also others gifts from Him.  We have gifts to flow through us for His glory.

Everything we are given we are to share.  Everything we have comes from God for His glory.  When we share it we are allowing His love through us and the impact it can have for others can be a blessing to you as well as the one you shared with.  Speaking out your faith and showing it may be seen in God’s perfect timing for one who needs to come to know Him.

Your serving gift shows that you are putting others first and not yourself.  When you are teaching you are sharing the wisdom and insight God has given you to mentor others.  The gift of encouragement when shared in God’s timing may be an answered prayer for someone seeking answers from God.  Sharing your money could be used to purchase food, clothing, or shelter in the perfect time of need.

Leadership is another area of stewardship that God may have gifted you in.  Leading others in life’s journey with prayers, Scriptures, direction, enthusiasm, or even correction can impact the Kingdom in so many positive ways.  We truly need to take responsibility and truly show kindness to others.  God is glorified when we share and He gets all the glory.  Everything is truly about Him and how He wants us to share with others.

So be thankful for your gifts and be in prayer to see how God wants you to distribute them to others.
