Living in the Word or World?

Ephesians 3:14-19 (NKJV)

14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

Are you filled with the fullness of His love?  We have to be filled with His love to be all we are to be in living for Him.  Jesus truly loves us and shows us in His Word praying, forgiveness, grace, mercy, and love.  He loved us by going to the cross and He desires to flow through us with His love.  Flowing through us with His love not only for us, but others seeing His love in us and through us is what God desires for us to follow.

When we follow Him and obey Him we are living for Him and not living for them.  We need to be obedient to God and be guided by Him and not others.  There is one difference in letter between the words: Word and world and that is the letter “ L “.  When we spend time in the Word we live as Jesus would.  When we spend time in the world we see how others are living and follow them.  Even though we see others that appear to be  following Jesus everything is not how it appears.  We need to follow God’s Word and obey Him and see all that He shows us matches up with Scripture.

God’s Word is our guide to eternal life and gives us direction to a journey with Him daily.  So pray, read His Word, pray again for the wisdom, pray throughout the day for His direction and at the end of the day praise Him, thank Him, and pray that He show you the things you got right, wrong or even missed so you can learn, grow and give Him all the glory.
