Pardoning

Micah 7:18-19 (NKJV)

18 Who is a God like You, Pardoning iniquity And passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy.19 He will again have compassion on us, And will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins Into the depths of the sea.

Asking for forgiveness can be hard at times.  First we have to admit we made a mistake.  Next we have to admit to God and confess it to Him.  Also, after you have been forgiven you may want to ask forgiveness of others also for hurting them.  Now when we truly confess to God and repent we are forgiven.  It is His desire to forgive us.  We have to come to Him.  Understand He knew the sin you would commit before you made it.  Mistakes are made when we take steps without Him.  Jesus did go to the cross for us to forgive us.  Have you accepted Him and know all that He has done for you?

He went to the cross and took your sins.  Now understand His love for you and seek His forgiveness.  Now once He has forgiven you the sins are washed away.  Now through His compassion and mercy they are not only washed away they are not held against you and do not dwell on them.  Once the sins are washed they are wiped away and you have a clean slate.  So please put your trust in Jesus and know that He came for you and He did God’s will and went to the cross for our sins.  To God be all the glory!

Prayer:

Father: Thank You for Your mercy, compassion, and grace that allows me to seek Your forgiveness.  Thank You Jesus that You are the One true way.  Thank You Jesus for going to the cross for us.  In Your Holy Name we pray, Amen.
