Colossians 2:6-7 (NKJV)

6 As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

As we walk upon our journey we have so very much to be thankful for as we count the many blessings we have from God.  Our beautiful journey starts when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.  When we accept Him we are filled with the Holy Spirit and know our prayers are taken to the throne of God properly.  So we need to seek how to truly walk in His love.  Walking in His love starts with coming to know Him through the Bible.  So the second area to see in our walk is to be rooted in Him.  Listening to the Word to know how to walk in faith allows us to be rooted in His love. Growing in His Word and built up by the encouragement we have from Him gives us the assurance He is with us every step of the way.  Our faith gives us access to all He wants to show us.  By spending time with Him we are being taught by Him.

To walk in faith we begin to understand His love and how to share His love.  We begin to be stronger in our faith as our roots go deeper into His love.  We see how much the disciples learned when they spent time with Him so spend time in prayer and in the Scriptures with Him.  Remember as you grow all that you do is for His glory, so be thankful for all that He shows you.  As you walk you may fall, but get on your knees and pray.  You may have to develop patience, yet know His timing is always perfect.  Also know that as you walk you may make mistakes, but know that through your faith you can be forgiven and learn.

Know that as you grow deeper into His love you will have challenges, yet nothing that cannot be conquered.  So walk with Him and let Him guide you and know that you cannot measure the depth of His love, but know He has more than you can imagine.

Dear Jesus:  Help me to grow in Your love.  Guide my path and ways as I walk in Your love.  Please help me to be thankful for all that You show me.

In Your Holy name I pray, Amen.
