Ask

Luke 11:9-10 (NKJV)

9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

God loves all of His children.  First of all have you asked Jesus into your heart?  That is the most important statement that could be asked.  Jesus wants you to have a relationship with Him.  So if you have not asked Him into your heart you need to seek forgiveness of your sins first and foremost.  When you have a relationship with Him you will see in Scriptures how Jesus would always seek the Father’s will.  So when you have a relationship with Jesus you will come to the Father properly seeking His will.

When coming to Him we see that in prayer we need to ask, seek, and knock.  If we take the first letters of each of these words they spell out the word ask.  So we need to ask in prayer for needs that match the Father’s will for us.  Now understand we are to ask for needs and not wants.  He will provide for our needs if it matches Scripturally and according to His will.  As we seek we will find and once again we need to pray and seek His will.  Lastly we see that if we will knock it will be opened, but how many times are we afraid to knock.  If we never knock we may miss out on so many blessings.  God has so many blessings and promises He wants to share with us that we will miss if we never come to Him and accept Jesus.  So please seek His love and thank Him for His love and ask in His will and see what He has to share with you.

Prayer:

Father: Thank You for listening and sharing with me the many blessings I have received.  You know my needs before I ask so thank You for always listening and always providing exactly what I need.

With a thankful heart I pray, Amen.
