Only God can fix it…your past (part 1 of 4)

Isaiah 53:5-6 (NKJV)

5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

There are way too many times we dwell upon our past.  We live in guilt, in shame, in regret, or in pain from things we have done wrong.  Jesus knew what you would do wrong and He went to the cross for all of your mistakes.  We need come to Him and admit we made mistakes, seek His forgiveness, and repent of our transgressions.  Have you done this?  You do not have to live in your past because Jesus took them to the cross for you.  A price that was paid that we do not deserve, yet He went anyway for you.  Yes you, so seek His forgiveness.  Once you have received it do not hold on to your past any more.

Now understand you do not have to carry the burden any more because of His love for you.  Now instead of living in the past allow the new you to be shared with others.  Tell others of your testimony and encourage others that are on the same path you were there is a better way.  So in your prayer time thank God for saving you, and ask Him to show you how to share what He did for you so that He gets all the glory.  Share how He answered prayers, how He put people in your path to help you, and tell of the Scriptures that made a difference in your change.  Jesus is the difference maker if you will call upon Him.  He shared His love for you by going to the cross so share His love with others by telling what He did for you.  As you tell they in turn can see they can have hope and He can be there for them also.

Lead them to Jesus,

Guide them to Jesus,

So that He can lead them,

So that He can guide them.
