Proverbs 4:25-27 (NKJV)
25 Let your eyes look straight ahead, And your eyelids look right before you.26 Ponder the path of your feet, And let all your ways be established.27 Do not turn to the right or the left; Remove your foot from evil.
Too many times in life we see a path or direction and immediately go down it. Every step we take in life should be with Jesus. He is truth and wants to guide us in truth. When we think back in the Gospels, Jesus called out to Peter to walk to Him on water and as long as Peter focused on Jesus he was fine. As soon as Peter took his eyes off of Jesus and looked at the storm he sank. Our eyes need to be straight ahead upon Jesus and His direction. Too many times our focus is not on Him, but upon all of the surrounding circumstances. His direction is clear and we should always seek His guidance.
Think back to the times you put Him first in what you were doing. Were you blessed by the direction and the result? Thank Him for being there for you and guiding you. When we think about it, a few minutes in prayer and in the Word can make all of the difference in our journey. A path with Him will allow you to see what is in store. Make sure you include Him in all aspects of your life and thank Him for His love and guidance. So please focus on Him and you will truly have joy in your journey.
