Traveling in the Light
Hope at All Times
The next letter in faith is the letter “T”. This letter represents Traveling in the Light. We should go on every journey of faith by following the light.

Psalms 119:105 (NLT)
Your word is a lamp for my feet
and a light for my path.

In life, we have a long journey. Reflect back a moment to your journey in life. How many times did you feel you were walking in darkness? How many times did you go through times and felt it went smooth? When we look at life God was on the journey with us always. When we come upon a dark room we need light to be able to see where we are going. When we take a hike in a forest we need the light to see because the thickness of the forest can be scary.
Life can be like this dark and scary. We know all we have to do is pray to God and He will help us on our travels. That is what the Psalmist is telling us. His word is a lamp unto my feet. Life can be full of dark and evil. Satan makes our path dark and hard not to see what God wants us to do. Sometimes our faith may ask us to wait, but we do not have the patience for the result. That is where we are to use the Word of God and read Scriptures. The Word of God has the answer for all of life’s questions. God’s light is a light that shines for eternity. The light of God is everlasting. The light Satan tries to give you is like a candle. You may get burnt with the wax. The candle may go out when you are at the hardest part of the journey. The flame may just go out and leave you hanging.
God says in His Word in Hebrews 13:5 (NKJV) “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

James 1:2-8 (NLT)
2 _ Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. 3 For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything.
5  If you need wisdom_ if you want to know what God wants you to do—ask him, and he will gladly tell you. He will not resent your asking. 6  But when you ask him, be sure that you really expect him to answer, for a doubtful mind is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. 7 People like that should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 They can’t make up their minds. They waver back and forth in everything they do.

Always travel in the light. Faith is what can keep a person going. When you are troubled know that God has sent His Comforter the Holy Spirit to intercede our prayers. Have the faith of knowing that what you ask will be heard and given to you if you have the faith. You may not feel you have a lot of needs, but others might. God could use you in ways you may not realize. Each of you could be the ears of Jesus and listen to each other’s needs. Maybe you could be the eyes for someone and have a daily Bible study and reading time together. Maybe you just need to share your hope and faith with others and let them know what God has done for you.
