Ezekiel 22:30 (NKJV)
So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.
When do we stand in the gap for those in need? As we see in this Scripture God is looking for someone to stand in the gap. As we journey through life we come across many people at work, in the store, in the neighborhood, and that is just to name a few areas we cross paths with others. At all times, we need to look around to see those who need our prayers. Look around the next time you go out and allow God to show you those that are crying out. You will see some hurting, some hiding, some drinking, some lost, as well as some that do not realize they have a need. We need to stand in the gap for them. Be a prayer warrior as God allowed you to cross their path to take them to the cross in prayer or lead them to Jesus Who went to the cross for them. We need to share the love of Jesus because so many times those crying out need a friend and there is no better friend than Jesus.
Now remember start in prayer and see what God is showing you. He may want you to pray, encourage, listen, tell of His love, but most important is for you to allow His love to flow through you. Remember that in all you do it is for His glory. So, there may be different areas He uses you in at times. You might pray this time and the next time you might be sharing Scripture with them. Just remember He is looking for those that will stand in the gap so prepare yourself to share His love. Not only does He love you, but He also loves those He wants to reach through you. God Always Prepares those that love sharing His love so be ready to stand in the GAP that He has prepared for you.
