His Love Flows

John 7:38-39 (NKJV)
38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

His love flowing through you reflects His love for others to see in you. As others see you sometimes they will be drawn to your actions and reactions and then hear what you have to share. Wow the love of Jesus flowing through you is a blessing as the Holy Spirit is the living water. Now for a moment picture the stream flowing through your heart for others to see. What do they see?

Do they see a person living in grace or still disgrace? Do they see a forgiven person passing on forgiveness or a person who continues live in guilt? Do they see a person who still dwells in their past instead of dealing with it at the cross?

We are the ones that need to understand truly all He did for us. By Jesus going to the cross we are forgiven when we seek Him as our Lord and repent. Picture a moment the flow of living water in your heart is it getting interrupted? The interruption can be our continuation in sin. Yes, we have been forgiven, but we are not to take it for granted. The flow can be interrupted because of the sin still in us because we did not get to the root of the sin, which came from the seed of the first time we committed the sin. To get complete healing we need to ask for forgiveness all the way back to the start of the sinful pattern. The start He will reveal in your prayer time and quiet time with Him.

In your quiet time, you can be reminded by the Holy Spirit where it started and you in turn pray about it and seek to live in freedom and not in bondage to your past. The flow of living water will be smooth when you allow the healing in your heart to eliminate hardness, anger, bitterness, distractions, as well as guilt. Allow for complete healing and forgiveness as you give your all to Jesus, the One who loved you enough to go to the cross for you.
