Heart…the Letter “H”

Hearing God’s Voice
Eagerness to Serve
Assisting Others
Reaching Our Full Potential
Teaching Others God’s Love

Matthew 5:8(NKJV)
Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.

When we ask Jesus into our hearts we are renewed. We have asked for forgiveness of our sins. We have put on a new self. God is a God of second chances. We have been forgiven and given a pure heart. We are blessed when we seek Him in all we do. When we know His son Jesus and have accepted Him as our Lord and Savior we will see God in heaven.
In the mean time let us seek Him and find out our purpose. He has a plan for everyone and we are to seek His love and guidance.

Hearing God’s Voice

Psalms 4:3(NKJV)
But know that the Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The Lord will hear when I call to Him.

To hear God’s voice we must seek Him. We seek Him in prayer and in His Word. He hears us when we call and seek Him. Seek Him in prayer and cast all your cares, concerns, and needs to Him. In turn in prayer there are times to just be still and know He is God like He says in Psalms 46:10. Seek Him in His Word and meditate upon it.
When we meditate upon it, it will truly be the living Word. It may be the answer you need then. It may be a Word you read 3 or 4 times. You may see a different part in the scripture than you did before. Always pray before you read and get into the presence of the Lord.

Psalms 5:3(NKJV)
My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.

Start each morning in prayer and in the Scripture. You have been blessed with rest. You have a clear mind so give God the opportunity to start your day with you. God wants to love us always. He is always there and we need to reach out to Him. The day will start on the right foot if your first words are to Him.

Psalms 46:10(NKJV)
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

Being still in a fast-paced world may seem hard to do. We need to be still so we can listen. We need to be still so our minds will stop racing. When we are still we can know God’s voice. We will have calmness in our spirit and our minds will be more focused on Him.

Proverbs 1:23(NKJV)
Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you.

Hardest part in any walk of life is correction. We live a life of free will. This free will can be great. We can do as we please. We can make our own decisions. How many times did we make wrong decisions growing up and our parents corrected us? The corrections were right, but our feelings, pride, or ego was hurt.
Our Heavenly Father corrects us also. It is a loving correction. He wants us to do right. He wants to bless us and us to be blessed. We miss out on blessings when we do things our own way. Take the correction as love, just as you accepted loving correction from your parents.

2 Timothy 3:16-17(NKJV)
16All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
17that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

God’s Word is our guide to life. The Bible is our GPS: God’s Plan to Salvation, as well as God’s Problem Solver. The Bible gives us all we need to know to be saved. The Bible also has the answer to any possible problem we need an answer to. God’s Word is the perfect answer and perfect for all times in life.
We are equipped and ready for all of life’s challenges when we study the Bible. We will have the right Scripture for the right time to the need we are seeking an answer for in our journey. Read the Bible and hears God’s voice through His breathed Word.
