42But Jesus called them to Himself and said to them, “You know that those who are considered rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.
43Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant.
44And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all.
45For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Jesus came and served. He in turn wants us to serve others. We see in the Scriptures where He washed the feet of the disciples. What an act of servanthood. When we do things for others we are showing the heart of Jesus through us. We are an extension of His love.
1 Peter 4:10-11(NKJV)
10As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
11If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
When we share with others we need to give Him the glory. We are blessed and in turn we are to bless others. We miss out when we do not serve and share. We need to show others we care. We are given gifts and they are uniquely given to each of us. We must realize there are times people are put in your path for you to help. You may be the ears that need to hear. Maybe you can do a service that can make a difference to them financially, spiritually, emotionally or mentally.
As you grow in your faith share what God has done for your life. The ministry you share blesses God, you and the recipient. A triple blessing when we reach out and share what we have been given.
