No Distractions

Luke 10:40 (NKJV)
40 But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”

When you are serving do you see the opportunity as a job or a call? When we look at the opportunity as a job we can see:
1. That we think others are not doing their part
2. That we think we must do it all
3. That we tend to focus on serving instead of those that we are serving

When we are serving as a call we are:
1. Better prepared
2. Not easily distracted
3. Looking to follow through with the task for God’s Glory

We have all been Martha at times. Yet, we should have been like her sister Mary and come to the feet of Jesus. If in all we do we came to Him first, all the results would Glorify Him. Every opportunity would be seen with His eyes, His hands through us, our walking where He leads, His encouragement through us, our ears hearing what we should, and our arms open wide. So, if our heart is right we will get our calling right. So always be prepared Spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally by spending time in the Word and in prayer. You will be shown amazing opportunities that lead to amazing results.
