See What He has for You

Hebrews 4:11-13 (NKJV)
11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

How much time do you spend in the Scriptures? Do you come to the living, written Word for comfort, peace, hope, love, guidance, direction, as well as answers? So many times, I have missed in each of these areas because I tried to do things my way instead of His way. His Scriptures are for us to see all He has for us, but too many times we make mistakes because we miss one or all the following steps.
1. Pray before you read your Bible.
2. As He guides you when you find His answer, also read the Scriptures that come before and after the Scripture He put in your heart and mind.
3. Pray after He shows you to listen to know if this is from Him, or just what you wanted to see?

If we will seek His direction He will show us, but the key is it starts in the heart. If we allow Him to shape our heart right then, in turn our mind and thoughts will follow His way and not ours. Understand we are held accountable to Him for all we have done so we need to walk with Him daily. When you walk with Him daily you will please Him, and not live to appease your sinful way.
As you have seen He has the answers and He loves you so that He wants to shape you and guide you. Now we saw earlier a key in finding a Scripture and then reading more. Look what He shows us in the next three verses.

Hebrews 4:14-16 (NKJV)
14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

We can come to Him because He knows what we are going through, He knows what we need, and we can be overcomers when we follow Him. When we come to Him with a right heart we see in verse 16: Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

The answers are there so asking, listening, and knowing He loves you will bless your journey. So, we see if we had stopped at His shaping us we would have missed all He wants to show us because He had been through temptations and can sympathize with us. So, Pray, Read, and Pray.
