Look for Prayer Opportunities

Mark 14:5 (NKJV)
For it might have been sold for more than three hundred denarii and given to the poor.” And they criticized her sharply.

How many times have you realized something that has occurred and then you analyze and then criticize? We have all been guilty of this at some time in our journey. We see someone doing something for the Lord and we should pray for them and realize it is a prayer opportunity. Our flesh at times drives us to over analyze and think of how it should be done or could be done better. Or in this case they realized she was using perfume and criticized her. Everything we observe that we are drawn to see do you see them with your eyes or do you see them as prayer opportunities?

Too many times we miss the opportunities to pray for circumstances that God places before us. We are at our best when we allow His best through us. Your prayers make a difference when you are calling upon God with a concern. Yet our concerns too many times do not lead to prayer, much less a proper analysis. We will think they could do that different or I could have done it better. We may hear what they say, and believe we would have had the better answer. We could go on with many examples, but you get the picture. Picture yourself being the one that prays and allows God to make a difference.

There is so much in this world that needs prayer. We need to pray prayers of concern, thanksgiving, praise, and pray for those who need to see His love. Prayer brings unity with God and He in turn desires for us to be in unity. His love for us is to be received and shared. The lady realized His love for her and she was obedient. She was drawn to His love regardless of the price of the jar. We are to pray and be obedient to whatever He asks of us. The key is we are given the Greatest gift in His love for us. So, pray and see what He wants to show you each and every day of your journey.

Realize the prayer opportunities that are placed before you as you go through the day. When we see people doing what they are called to do pray for them, love them, and encourage them. She was doing what she was called to do. This story is in the Scriptures to help us see with His eyes and not our critical or analytical eyes. Realize your path has prayer opportunities placed before you as an opportunity for unity. Prayers and praise will help you realize His love and presence and you will truly enjoy the journey.

Galatians 6:9-10 (NKJV)
9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
