Obedience

1 Chronicles 28:8 (NKJV)
8 Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the LORD, and in the hearing of our God, be careful to seek out all the commandments of the LORD your God, that you may possess this good land, and leave it as an inheritance for your children after you forever.

Seeking out all the commandments requires obedience. Obedience requires discipline which means you must accept that you are loved by God and want to do what is right. Doing what is right not only requires obedience, but you cannot live by the pick and choose Scripture. Picking what you want to obey or what best fits is not receiving God’s best for you. God’s love for you requires you listening to all His commandments. This will in turn shape you into becoming all that He desires you to become.

As you allow Him to shape you, others will see the difference in you. This in turn allows His light and His love to flow through you. Others will want to hear your testimony and have what you have. They in turn will see that God has met your need and that is the need for His love.
His love being seen in you will give you the opportunity to share His love with your family. Them coming to know the Lord and see He meets all their needs will be better than anything you could leave them in a will. You leading them to God’s love and His will, will provide them with all they need. You sharing His love will in turn show them how much you love them. What a gift to receive that is so loving and it all starts with our Loving Heavenly Father.

Father:
We thank You for Your love and Your directing wisdom that is in the Scriptures. You know what we need before we ask, and we thank You for knowing us by name and knowing all that we need. Help me to focus on all Your commandments and that they will shape me into becoming who You desire me to become.
In Jesus Precious Name I pray, Amen.
