Psalm 32:1-3 (NKJV)
1 A Psalm of David. A Contemplation. Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit. 3 When I kept silent, my bones grew old Through my groaning all the day long.
We tend to hold on to pains, hurts, mistakes, and disobedience. We walk through life holding on to hurts that can be handed over to Jesus and forgiven. You may think I can wait to seek Him, yet how much time do we have? You may think I am so bad He will not forgive me, yet understand He paid a dear price for you in going to the cross. Why hold the pain when He knows you, He knows your mistakes, and He wants to forgive you and bless you.
You are destroying yourself when you do not come to Him. He wants you to come to Him and seek forgiveness, believe He went to the cross for you, and allow Him to be Lord of your life. When you do, you will be blessed. You have handed your sins over to Him and the blood He shed for you forgives you. As you held your sins before you would get involved in other sinful acts. Even when you continued in them and tried to cover them you were hurting yourself physically by trying solutions other than Him.
Jesus knows you and wants you to hand over all that you do to Him. He wants to forgive you, help you, teach you, and protect you all because He loves you. A love that He took your sins to the cross and when you accept this it leads to true joy. Joy in knowing you are loved, forgiven, and knowing that you can call upon Him for all your needs is truly a blessing.
