Galatians 6:1-5 (NKJV)
1 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. 2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For each one shall bear his own load.
Imagine for moment you see someone you know make a mistake. A mistake you never thought they would commit. A mistake maybe they committed when they thought no one would see or know about. An action or reaction that they may would not normally do that could lead to other sins or results that could be life changing. The results could lead to divorce, loss of a job, losing friends, getting into more sinful acts, or possibly even death. What do you do and how do you handle it?
The key is to always be prepared by praying and being lead by the Spirit in the love of Christ. Jesus teaches us to love and to live in love. His love is gentle, so you need take a loving approach when trying to help others. The loving approach is to know that God has allowed you to see this not to cast a stone, but to share His love by you helping in a loving manner.
Maybe you have been down this path and can share a testimony of how He helped you overcome your situation. They may not realize the wrong path they are headed down. They may not think that God loves them anymore or that anyone loves them at all.
His love is there for all. The gentleness of His love is beyond description but needs to be shared and shown always. So, pray and prepare as you start your day and see how He might want you to share His love that day. His love is gentle so let others see His love through you.
