Does Your Identity Show Returning?

Luke 17:11-20 (NKJV)
11 Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off.
13 And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
14 So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.
17 So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
18 Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?”
19 And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

How long have you cried out for help? Days, weeks, months, maybe even years you have needed His touch. You have felt like an outcast, a forgotten soul, or felt no one cared, yet God always cares. You may be thinking if He cared why, why so long, or why not in my timing. We see and know God hears our cries. Jesus heard their cries and He stated for them to “Go” and then they were healed. You may have cried out, but did you have the faith? They reacted and were healed maybe He has asked you to step out in faith and you have stood still.

He hears, and His timing is always perfect. Now you see only one came back to return to give thanks and give God the glory. At times it seems He does not hear, but He may be at work in you and in all those around to see how much He loves you. When we respond in faith and return to thank Him and Glorify Him then His plan is seen and complete. God loves you, knows your name, knows your pain, and knows when the perfect time for you is in receiving His loving touch. Now when you have cried out trust Him, listen, obey, and be thankful.

Being thankful for the healing, the situation, and most important His love for you. He loves us all and He will at times touch one so that they may come to know Him, yet they may be one of the nine and not be thankful. God is willing to heal your pain so remember as you cry out in pain, and when He answers you then return to Him and cry out in thanksgiving all because He loves you.
