His Power through Abiding in His Love

His Power through Abiding in His Love

John 15:4-5 (NKJV)

4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

You have read the two Scriptures, and the question is did you pray first?  If you did pray first now reflect a moment before reading further.  If you did not pray first, then pray and then read the Scriptures again.

When we journey through life we need to always stay connected to the love of Christ.  We are the branches and we are to stay connected to His love.  His love of forgiveness, grace, mercy, encouragement, teaching, strength, and all of these come from His powerful love for us.  Many times, we try to do things without praying first.  When we pray first it is His strength, His direction, His timing in us and through us all for His Glory.

Branches that stay connected are strong and productive.  We are never all we are to become if we do not stay connected to His love.  We see we can do nothing without Him, so reflect upon that for a few moments.  When you spent time in prayer and in His Promises, you were able to grow in His love and share His love.  So please spend time with Him daily and see all He has for you and all that He wants to do through you.  As you see the results praise Him and thank Him for His love for you.

Father:

Your love is amazing! Too many times I have tried to do things in my own strength.  Please forgive me and please help me to understand Your love for me.  Thank You Jesus for Your love, obedience, grace and mercy and please help me in weaknesses.  Help me to draw from Your strength as I learn to put my full trust in You.

In Your Precious and Holy Name, I pray Jesus, Amen. .
