                   Understanding His Power

  O…Open heart

     W…Will of God

         E…Expression of His love

R…Receive all He has for you

Dear Waples Family:

As we journey through this year with “Hope in His Power” here are some of the Scriptures and areas I will be praying through daily.  As I pray through the Lord’s Prayer I am praying through the six areas that Jesus taught us.  Praying that we are all we are to be as a church body and that we allow His love to reach all that He allows us to meet in our journey.  As we pray, we will be reminded to be Kingdom driven and we are to share His love.

As we pray for others and for us to be who we are to be as a body of believers who follow Christ not only following His example of prayer, but also follow His example for us in His obedience, compassion, love, taking up His cross, and all for God’s Glory.  So, pray daily for these areas praying the Scriptures, praying for others, praising Him, seeking His love, and praying that we do all we are to do for God’s Glory.

Thanks for praying as we journey together and allow others to see His love through us all for the Kingdom and God’s Glory.

Thanks for joining us in this prayer journey as we seek and share Jesus to know we have “Hope in His Power.”

Pastor Lindsay

Matthew 6:7, 9-13 NKJV

“And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.

And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”

Obedience… Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV

“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”

Compassion… I Peter 3:8-12 NKJV

“Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil.””

Love… Mark 12:29-31 NKJV

“Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one. And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.””

Taking up our cross… Luke 9:23-25 NKJV

“Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?”

All for God’s Glory… Philippians 4:13 NKJV“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
