Hope in His Power: One and Only True God
Ephesians 4:1-6 (NKJV)
1 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,
2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,
3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling;
5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
When we believe in Jesus, our Risen Savior, our Friend, our Mediator, the One True Living Lord we have all we need. We then walk with Him daily and learn what a true loving relationship we can have with Him. It is truly about having a relationship with Him and that is where we learn to love and walk in His love.
We are to walk together along with other believers. When we walk, we will encounter those who may go to church somewhere else, and the key is they believe in Jesus. We are to be a body of believers praying for each other and that is His love being shared. We are to be Kingdom driven reaching the lost and those that have drifted from His love. The unity needs to be there so that others see His love through us. God allows us to encounter others so what do they see? Do they see His love, your joy, your peace, your patience, your help, your encouragement, your love for Jesus and your love for others?
When we get the unity right with Jesus, we will see the unity we need to have for others. Walking, praying, encouraging, listening, helping, mentoring and loving others all starts with our love for Jesus. So, pray for unity and if we all begin to get this right, others will want what we have, and it all begins with loving the One who loved us enough to go to the cross for us. What a loving Lord and Savior who paid the ultimate price for us all because He loves us.
Father: Thank You for being the One True Living God who desires for us to know You. To know that You sent Jesus and we are to accept Him and walk with Him is truly a love we do not deserve but is there for us to accept. So, as we walk with You Jesus help us to be led by the Holy Spirit and walk in unity with other believers of You. Thank You for forgiving my sins and allowing me to walk with You.
In Your Holy Name I pray Jesus, Amen.
