Hope in His Power: Your Complete Trust

Hope in His Power:

Your Complete Trust

Do you put your complete trust in Jesus?  We see in Scripture many challenges to our heart to trust Him in all our ways.  Do we look to Him?  Do we seek His Holy Name?  Do we trust the One who knows us?  Do we have a heart for Him?  Is He your all in all?  Are you mindful of Him?  Are your eyes on Him or do they see the storms of life?

So many questions to ponder, yet Scripture shows us the way.  Jesus is there always for us.  When Peter said tell me to come, he took the steps and then took his eyes off Jesus.  Look to Him, listen to Him, and truly trust His love for you.  His Scriptures tell us of His love, His answered prayers show us His love, and His going to the cross for us shows us He gave us His all.

So put your complete trust in Jesus.

Isaiah 26:3-4 (NKJV)…Everlasting strength

3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.

4 Trust in the Lord forever, For in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.

Psalm 9:10 (NKJV)…never forsake you

10 And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You

Nahum 1:7 (NKJV)…stronghold in trouble

7 The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.

Psalm 13:5 (NKJV)…mercy through salvation

5 But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.

Psalm 18:2 (NKJV)…your shield

2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Psalm 56:3-4 (NKJV)…His Word leads to faith not fear

3 Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. 4 In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?

Matthew 14:22-33 (NKJV)…Listening and seeing His love requires your obedience and trust

22 Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away.

23 And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there.

24 But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.

25 Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea.

26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear.

27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”

28 And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”

29 So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.

30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”

31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.

33 Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”
