Hope in His Power: Victory in Jesus

Hope in His Power: Victory in Jesus

The one true victory in our life comes in knowing Jesus.  He paid a price for our sins.  His going to the cross shows us His love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness.  He paid a price for the mistakes we have made.  God’s Words in the Scriptures show us His love and His promises that show us how much He loves us.  Jesus knows what we have done, when we did it, why we did it, where we did it and how it impacts us as well as others around us.  He knows what He took to the cross for us and when we approach Him with an open heart, He shows us His love.

What a victory we have in knowing the One who knows us so well.

            1 Peter 1:3-9 (NKJV)…Victory in Jesus

Verse 3…His resurrection provides ABUNDANT mercy

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Titus 3:4-7 (NKJV)… 4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Ephesians 1:15-21 (NKJV)… 15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

Verse 4…Reservation in Heaven

to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,

2 Timothy 4:6-8 (NKJV)… 6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

Colossians 1:12-14 (NKJV)… 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

Verse 5…You are kept by the power of God

who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV)… 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Verse 6…Through Him we can rejoice in trials

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials,

1 Peter 4:12-13 (NKJV)… 12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.

Verse 7…Leads to genuineness of your faith

that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

Proverbs 17:3 (NKJV)… 3 The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, But the Lord tests the hearts.

Verse 8… Rejoicing with joy inexpressible

whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,

2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV)… 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Verse 9…Salvation only through Jesus

receiving the end of your faith–the salvation of your souls.

Romans 6:22-23 (NKJV)… 22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Father:  Thank You for Your love for me.  Jesus thank You for going to the cross for me.  Holy Spirit thank You for Your guidance when I have asked for forgiveness and repented.  Thank You for the victory Father.

In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
