1 Thessalonians 2:13 (NKJV)
For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the Word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it in truth, the Word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.
Think about that for a moment Paul thanking God for others receiving God’s Word. Who taught you His Word? Your parents may have read you Bible Stories, maybe a grandparent taught you, you may have learned in Sunday School, or a pastor at church may have made a difference. The reason we are to be thankful is because God’s love was shared with you through them or someone you know.
Are you sharing His love and His Word with others? You may could teach, read at a care center, lead a small group, or mentor one with one. Pray and be thankful for what He has shared through others to you, and then pray and seek how you can share with others. He will work through you so pray, prepare, and proclaim His Word so others can come to know Him.
Father thank You for Your Living Word. Thank You for the opportunity to share with others just like they shared with me. Amen.
