God Shows Us…Step 3…Preparation
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
Ephesians 2:8-10 NKJV
We have seen God shows us His love through prayer and showing us His purpose for us. We will now look at step 3 in Preparation. God desires for others to see how His love resides in us so He prepares us.
Preparation started when the Holy Spirit prepared our hearts to receive the love of Jesus. We are saved by grace. A gift of grace and not of works. If we had anything to do with it, we would be prideful and boast.
Therefore, since the gift of grace leads us to pray and see purpose in our journey, we will see His gift of preparing us so it will be all done for His Glory! Jesus always prayed seeking the Father’s will. It is all for God. It should always be for Him and never about us.
“Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”
John 14:10-14 NKJV
“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”
Colossians 3:17 NKJV
So, we have seen how it is not about us. All we do should be for His Glory! We were created to receive His love and share His gift of love with others. Prepared to do good works not to earn grace but to be a good steward with His goodness and love. So, as you continue in this journey you have prayed, seen His purpose for you, seen He will prepare you and you do not see and do this all in one day. This is a daily journey that can be a blessing and be a joyful journey. Now He will show you step 4 which is Planning.
