He is Always There for Us and With Us
Happy New Year to all of you. 2020 was an unusual year that included the wearing of masks, limitations on gatherings, isolation, as well as many other restrictions. We may have had many restrictions, but the love of God has no restrictions.
We may have felt we were in a fire, yet He was and is with us.
Daniel 3:25 (NKJV)
“Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
We may have been in a storm and we cried out only to find out He was and is with us. Yes, not only are we not alone, but also when He calmed the storm others in little boats were saved also.
Mark 4:35-41 (NKJV)
35 On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” 36 Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. 37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. 38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” 39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. 40 But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” 41 And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!”
He is there to reach out to us even when we are sinking. So, keep your eyes upon Jesus.
Matthew 14:23-33 (NKJV)
23 And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there. 24 But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary. 25 Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. 26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” 28 And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” 29 So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” 31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. 33 Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”
Father, we thank You for Your love! Jesus, we thank You for always, yes always being there for us and with us. Thank You Holy Spirit for interceding our prayers and the reassurance we find in Scriptures and in prayer of how much we are loved and that we are never alone. So, Father we thank You for each day and each opportunity we have to walk in the love of Jesus.
In Jesus Holy Name we pray, Amen.
