Day 9…He is There to Help
Psalm 62:1-2 (NKJV)
1 Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation. 2 He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.
There are times we want to help God. One by not praying and thinking we have this on our own. We may have tried other approaches where we want to try it our way, yet we are not silently listening. We need to pray and wait upon His love and will for us. In these two verses we see the power in putting our complete trust in Him.
Salvation can only come from Him. Jesus went to the cross to forgive us and there is no other way except through what Jesus did for us upon the cross. He paid the price for us. It is not how good we are or what good works have I done it is instead what He has done for us. This takes us to the second verse where He is our rock and salvation.
Are you standing firm in your faith? Are you standing on the solid ground and grounded in your faith in Him? It is in Him and Him only that you can put all your trust. He is there for you not only in the price that He paid for you, but He is listening for your needs and concerns.
The third area is He is there to defend us. Stand firm in your faith and come to Him in prayer. Asking, praising, thanking, and listening to Him in your prayer life will give you the assurance He is always there for you. He is there to fight your battles and yes, the victory is in Jesus.
Father we thank You that we can come to You and stand upon Your promises. Please help me to put my complete trust in You. You know what we are going through, and You always know what we need. Thank You for always listening to me. Amen.
